Essential oil and absolute from helichrysum (Immortelle), as used by perfumers today, are ingredients that are difficult to work with and dose. They only very imperfectly capture the plant's olfactory complexity, often revealing rough and dry facets that are not particularly pleasant.

After 18 months of research, the extract developed by L'Atelier Français des Matières represents a true innovation — finally revealing the full fragrance profile of this plant, true to what can be experienced directly in nature.

Thanks to this, Antoine LIE, master perfumer, was able to use this unique and exclusive new ingredient in overdose in the latest opus from Les Indémodables — Immortelle Solaire.

This striking and original composition is a play of light and matter: it reveals the full complexity of "full spectrum" ultrasonic helichrysum, combining an iodized, luminous accord with notes of licorice and candied fruit, subtly balanced by darker tones of spice, wood and lightly smoky leather. It evokes a sun-drenched summer atmosphere — that particular moment when the midday sun bakes the limestone rocks of the Provençal landscape in the south of France.
